I recently sold my MZ-S but I could probably loan you my MZ-6 if you get stuck. It's not for sale though.
I'll be returning to UK in late September, if you want me to bring it back with me, let me know.
If you need one sooner than that, my Canon using son also has an MZ-6 that I'm sure you could borrow, he might even sell it.

Hi John, I was at the local boot sale here in Spain last Sunday and I guy was selling a MZ10 complete with manuals and case with a 35-70AF lens, he was asking 40 euros I only wanted the lens, I offered him 20 Euros and he said he turned down 30 euros, what do you think should I give him the 40 euros.
Jack.
Forgot to add, it was mint condition.

Thanks for the offers so far, it looks like we'll be able to sort something if I can't buy anything suitable.
As regards the MZ10, I've just bought one with 28-80mm lens for £14.95, so i wouldn't give him €40! Unless you really want that lens.....

Hi John,
I've probably got most of these in stock apart from the MZ-S. Also have a few with the 'usual' floppy flash fault which would photograph ok. I've been on holiday this week but will check when I am back in the shop on Tuesday. Would be happy to lend or sell at a bargain price

John, considering this is a temporary situation regarding an article, I'd be happy to lend you my MZ-60 if you want. I do enjoy using it, so I don't want to sell it, but I'm happy for you to borrow if for as long as you need to complete the article.

Hi John, first of all please do not get me wrong it's just my opinion, the article that you want to do in the PU magazine as far as I am concerned is a waste of time, we as Pentax users have moved on, there maybe some people that will be interested in old cameras but for me I will not bother to read your article, film cameras have had their day now, only hard enthusiasts still use them, I do understand what you are trying to do but do you not think you should write an article about the future of Pentax and or the current cameras in use by most of the Pentax members, most of whom in the current age survey have never used a film camera, thanks for taking the time to read this,
Jack.
I did try to send this via a PM but it doesn't work

Hmmm.....don't agree with you there Jack.
I certainly don't consider myself a 'hard enthusiast'. I just got the photography bug only a few years ago and have'nt owned a film camera before. I wanted to explore a more traditional take, and really enjoy my MZ-60. I think there is more of a potential audience to this article than you really expect...

Hi Bob, I completely understand what you are saying but having used Pentax cameras for 35 years I've sort have been there done that if you know what I mean and have spent more money than I care to think about on film processing, If you want to wait for the results of your photos and keep paying for the privilege that's fine by me but I have moved on.

Fair point Jack - it's more about the journey we take, and yours is obviously different to mine. You've already had that experience, I can understand that.
For me, I kinda felt that I was'nt a 'true' photographer if I had'nt dabbled with film - I felt I was cheating a bit just sticking to digital.
I wonder how many newcomers to photography feel as I do.

I could be interested in any of the following: MZ-30, MZ-50, MZ-60, MZ-6, MZ-7 and the MZ-S.
Preferably mint and fully working, but even a non-working example can be photographed, so nothing excluded. Prices, let me know what you have in mind, but can't be OTT otherwise the project would be too expensive.
Many thanks!
