MZ-M TTL
To quench the flash when sufficient output has been generated - TTL Flash metering is done with the mirror up. The sensor is inside the mirror box and measures the light bouncing back from the film.
Two entirely different metering requirements and methods.

Angelo
The section regarding the use dedicated flash confirms that TTL flash is not available.

I need some clarification regarding the MZ-M. I've read many reviews on this camera. They say that it doesn't have TTL flash metering.
The US Pentax website says, "Metering system: TTL open-aperture 2-segment metering."
Since the camera meters through the lens, why can't it meter flash TTL? Can anyone kindly explain the difference? Thanks.
