Very nice indeed. The 28mm f/3.5 is a lovely lens indeed, I am very pleased with mine. I too went and bought the proper square hood, with case.
Given they ES and ESII do not meter in manual I shouldn't like mine (an ES) as much as I do, but I am very fond of it and of the four screw mount cameras I use it is the only one that sees regular outings.

Of all the M42 lenses I've bought and sold the 28/3.5 is the only one I miss. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a replacement...

I'm given to understand that this 28mm is more or less the same as the SMC K 28mm f3.5, in which case it's an absolute cracker. Probably the most useful manual prime you can own if you have both film and digital, it's sharp enough that you can crop and enlarge images without them suffering as a result.

The 28mm lens was a bit of an extravegance with the hood and everything all cased but they are supposed to be a good one so I thought maybe worth it.
VERY nice camera to use, just has a very 'proper' feel to it.
