All shots are very good.
I find the fourth shot to be especially charming.
It tells a lot.
The lady seems to know that you can dress a little guy up all you want, but he'll find a stick and go poking in the mud anyway.
That picture should be included in the album.
All the Best!

well done, I especially like the last two, good eye and really good timing on the last one.
might be worth giving "vows" the neat image treatment. There is a free demo of neatimage which is quite usable and will probably clean up that noise well.

I don't have photoshop of any sort. I might have a go tweaking it further in LR.well done, I especially like the last two, good eye and really good timing on the last one.

Hi AJ,
http://www.neatimage.com/
it's a stand alone tool, although it does integrate with PS if needed.
Cheers

Liam, everything I'm seeing about this seems to say PS needed.
"Copy the content of mounted volume into the Plug-ins sub-folder in Photoshop / Photoshop Elements folder"
"Download:
Download for PS CS3
or
Download for PS CS2 / CS / 7.0 / PSE"
From the readme files:
"Recommended system configuration to process 6-8-megapixel images is:
- Intel Core or PowerPC G4 or G5 processor
- Mac OSX
- Photoshop or compatible plug-in host
- 256 MB RAM or higher

CS2 struggles with 512MB RAM and 1GB is much better.
I would guess that 256MB RAM is only slightly more than needed to run Windows XP....

Hi AJ,
I use it, and I don't use PS in any variant..
Just download it, use the profile supplied for your particular camera, or create your own.. IIRC, a picture of the sky at various ISOs is all that's needed) and away you go.
Cheers

Hi AJ, no problem
I have to assume you're using Windows.. if not, there are plenty of Mac/Linux users who will join in any minute..
..and I'd assume that any differences would be in the background environments, rather than at the GUI level.. so..
From the start.. for everyone else as well.. go here..
http://www.neatimage.com/download.html
and click download.

Click Run, and follow prompts, sticking with the suggested defaults. The last installation screen you get will have the option to launch on finishing. Make sure it's ticked (default is ticked) and click finish. The NI splash comes up.. click OK in the bottom right corner.
Once NI loads, in the top left there will be a tab Open test Image, click and browse to the image you want to work on. Once slected, it will open in the viewing panel. Click next on Device noise profile. Under that tab you will see the Auto Profile drop down box. For now, just click that (the other options are for using the downloaded profiles etc.) and NI will determine a section of the image, that is relatively flat, and calculate the noise levels therein.
Click the next tab along on the top Noise Filter settings and choose the adjustments you require (I haven't used it enough to suggest them off the top of my head, so have a play.. that's all I'd be doing right now)
Next click the Output Image tab, and once determining the settings in the RH panel, click the Apply button on the top left.
That's pretty much it really. I'm sure that those who use NI more than I, can give you some starting parameters to go from, but that's the gist of it anyway.
Cheers
Liam
nb. The file path BTW, if you followed defaults will be Crogram FilesNeat Image

You're welcome AJ..
it's there for the Windows guys now if anyone needs it. Don certainly knows his way around a Mac, so I'm sure either he, or someone else will carry this on..
Cheers

sorry to not get to this sooner....
get on VersionTtracker,
http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/
look-up seashore
it is a gimp based photo editor.
it is free.
It should be able to do some editing (I don't use it)
then there's the gimp, it should have similar noise reduction controls as photoshop elements, and possibly even a plug-in to help you out.
in all honesty, I think photoshop elements will work (with the already mentioneed plug-ins (noise ninja, kodak digital rock/ice/gem etc))
but the built-in tools should be helpful if you apply them right.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I used jpeg all day (wanted to get as many images as possible) and was under no pressure to perform.
nearly 800 images later I have whittled down to 200 or so.
Impressed with the low light ability, anti-shake and detail in the shots. The camera performed well, i still have a lot to learn.
Here are some I'm pleased with, critique away.....
The Bride:
The Bridesmaid (my daughter and my all time favourite picture)
Vows:
Hang on!:
Catch!:
More pleased with the camera than ever!
Images cropped and adjusted in LightRoom.
