Very well processed shot - sometimes you can go a bit "over the top" with photomatix, but you have resisted the urge well here, the only critique I would have is that the highlights may be a over exposed as there isn't much detail in the whites (e.g. left hand side boat and sides of building).
A fantastic shot nonetheless (love the detail in the foreground brickwork btw).

Very nicely done. I am surprised that there was a 14 stop range in this photo though! Photomatix didn't complain about lining up the hand held shots? I have always used a tripod for HDR photographs.
Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Nope, Photomatix didn't complain at all. I'm fairly shakey-handed but I guess the shake-reduction really helps! I chose the "align using features" (or whatever its called). I believe that identifies edges and shapes in the image in order to align them. Seems to work fairly well.

Nice shot - but I find it a bit odd that your highlights are blown like this in a HDR shot.
I think you should work a bit with your black and white point settings to avoid this problem in the future.
With 7 stops range each way - you should not have this problem at all. Wonder what went wrong in the proces.

Btw - could you upload the 0-shot. Just want to see the different in the light for the 0-settings compared to the HDR image.
