My first attempt with a 'snoot'

Hi guys, just wondered what you think of my first experiment with a backdrop and a 'snoot'. Snoot is a term describing an extension (usually of cardboard) which you place over the head of a flashgun, directing the light very specifically - like an elongated neck. Was great fun to do I must admit. I used the 18-55 MKII with a 2 sec delay and a 1 sec exposure - enough time to pick a new direction to shoot the light hand-held.

Bob,

I like these so much that I have tried to produce similar images - with zero success.

Can you give some more detail of how you did it ?

It is fun isn't it? I didn't use a snoot ( but probably should have ) when I took the photos for last week's comp. but I did have the flash off camera and spent about an hour with different flash positions and exposures etc. I really enjoyed myself doing it, which I never expected.
