Bassetts always look sad. That's their job. But I have to say that this one has mastered the reproachful look.
Being practical for a moment, you should sell the dog and buy a chimp. They can recognise themselves in mirrors, and perhaps also photos. Your chimp will be delighted every time he/she sees your camera.

I put your idea to the wife George, but for some reason I got the reply, "I'm already married to 1 monkey, why do I need anorther."

I loved the idea myself!!! Shame she didn't, no sense of adventure.
