My 2014 Dozen

First of all, please accept my apologies to everyone who has posted a set of 12 recently on which I haven't commented. I have had a particularly busy time of late and have spent only a few minutes a week on this site, so I haven't had the opportunity to look through them all, but I will do and will add my feedback too.

Secondly, I've taken a different route to most and have decided to re-visit shots already posted on the Gallery. The reason for this is that I know a lot of people don't look at the Gallery, so these will be new to many and also the Gallery shots represent those I particularly wanted to process during the past year. So here goes:

January - Our Winter Friend

Comment Image

February - The Photographer's Wife

Comment Image

March - A Conversation with a dog

Comment Image

April - The Essence of Spring

Comment Image

May - Bricks and Windows

Comment Image

June - Peek-a-boo

Comment Image

July - Geese in Sunset Sky

Comment Image

August - A Studio Potrait?

Comment Image

September - Hawker

Comment Image

October - Victoriana in a Puddle

Comment Image

November - There was a bridge

December - Garden Beauty

I hope you like, comments always welcome!

Best wishes for 2015

David - yet again some lovely images. For me your 12 all have something special about them, with my favourite three, in no particular order, being the last three.

A beautiful set David. Not really possible to pick a favourite - but as a dog lover - who could resist 'March'? If that does not melt you heart - frankly you do not have one!

I'm glad you've shown up, David. It must have been quite a job to select just twelve.
There's a year of delight here but the understated Photographer's Wife is very telling (there must be many similar long suffering women - and some men). The Victorian reflection is very clever and thoughtful.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Another excellent set here David. I think many of us can identify with No. 2, although personally I couldn't let our dog within 10 feet of my tripod cos three legs (on the tripod) aren't enough. May and Oct stand out for me but I keep returing to July - the way that the shape of the geese mirror-images the shape of the cloud is a real eye-catcher !

Yet more excellent work - for me a smile at the Photographer's wife; like Joe's, mine would have long gone! They are all excellent - with the Hawker in flight and the Victoriana in a Puddle being my favourite's

Hi David,

Very enjoyable. I find a randomness to using the gallery. If you post when its busy with new stuff your own can be lost. Many of the best on here hardly use it. Pick a weekend evening and you can get loads of critical response.

Your September Hawker will have been hard to capture as i know. I love the geese wrapped round the reflected sunset on the cloud and December has to be my favourite as it proves you dont always need exotic locations for great atmosphere.

Each and every one a winner David. The Dog and The Photographer's Wife stand out but your autumn shot of the old bridge over the stream has been one of my favourites of the year.

Can't add much to the previous compliments, David: October's Victoriana illustrates a great eye for a photograph... and all 12 are great photographs.

It's all been said but I'll chip in with a smashing selection, February and March are my picks.
Cheers

Thanks all for the feedback, 2014 was a less prolific year for me photography wise as I had too many other things to do, here's hoping for more time in 2015 to take a few snaps.

Best wishes

Very strong set as ever David... Personal favourites of mine include Victoriana in a Puddle, the Geese and Bricks and Windows, which is a particularly strong composition, but there's quality across the board... Wishing you a great 2015...

Best
