Hi Steve, I have a K5 and use Lightroom 5.3 and there are no profiles for that either.

Thanks Derek,
I too have a K5 and use lightroom to process the RAW files, lightroom 5.3 has profiles for the lenses that I use on my K5 e.g. Pentax DA 18-135, Sigma 10-20 etc, but because the MX-1 has a built in lens I don't have a profile for it. Guess I'll have to install the bundled s/w to do corrections outside of the camera.

Just some info...
I received my MX-1 yesterday Could not wait to get some RAW files into Lightroom, and of course there are no camera profiles.
Spent some time early this morning setting up the Adobe Lens Profile calibration charts (shot 54 images at three different focal lengths, in two apertures). The whole process was significantly easier than I had feared (but still a fair amount of it!)
Now I have a Camera Raw profile for lens distortions.
While I was at it I have also produced a colour profile from the QPcard203.
I'm going to test these over the next week and see how things go. Most likely I will submit the lens profiles to Adobe as it would be good to see general support for the MX-1.
Initial tests (with rubbish subjects) look great. The lens on the MX-1 is a real gem.

I'd be interested to know how your testing goes with the lens profile. I had a quick look at the link Smeggy provided but haven't had chance to create anything for myself yet.

Will let you know.
It's very labour intensive - printing appropriate test chart, lighting, positioning and shooting. I ended up shooting at 6mm, 12mm and 24mm each wide open and at f/5.6. Each configuration takes 9 shots!
I have not done anything at macro distances yet (partly because the 1cm macro means I need some kind of teeny-tiny chart!!). Hopefully I can add to it later.

I just got an MX-1 to go with my K-r and you're right - the lens creates amazing images! If you are willing to share that profile I'd be happy to test it out. The lens does need correction so it'd be great to have one.Just some info...

I use Elements 11 and so correcting distortions from the MX-1 files is very time consuming. So much so that I tend to shoot RAW and jpegs and use the jpegs (corrected in camera to a certain extent) for shots with lots of straight lines.
Best wishes,
Andrew
