Moving Objects and Indoor Photography

I have only used flash on a image once and that is the first shot below. Its a picture of one of the 4 Genets that used to visit the dinning room of the lodge we were staying at in Tanzania. Can you please tell me if the shot is OK? I have had to use my Corel Paint Shop Pro One Stop Photo Fix on it first.

The second shot was taken while we were travelling back to the airport and another member of the group was shotting pictures through the open window as we were travelling (at about 60 mph). I like the shot but would like to know what if anything I could have done to make the image (particularly the people's faces sharper.

Can you post them a bit bigger? It's hard to tell from this size.

We had a family of Genets at our camp/lodge in Tanzania - the mother was called Genet Jackson

The Genet has had the same fix performed on it but the other photo hasn't
