Motorsport: Snetterton, August 1

I thought I'd give it a break this week, but my life was beginning to feel vaguely empty so here's some stuff from Saturday last at Snetterton, Norfolk.


1 - Local tree celebrates the presence on the entry list of an orange Ford Capri (K-5 IIs, Tamron 70-200 f2.8, 1/160)

I like the mono cliche

Love the orange Capri in No.1and you're right about that tree...it's weird. Half looks as though it will uproot and chase the cars in a kinda 'Hammer Horror' sort of way.

Officially, Karlo, it is known as The Snetterton Scary Tree - it even has its own Facebook page. The circuit is fairly windswept and the tree came close to collapse after one of last winter's storms. It is held in such affection, however, that locals propped it back up. Its supports are visible in two of the shots above, but a little clearer below...

Just seen these, nice set Simon. The Scary tree does make me smile everytime I see pictures of it !
