My dream car, as far as I got was an R8. I did get to drive an A310, but as far as pretty goes not in the same league

Nice set Simon. Only one thing. The Cortina is 1965. "C" reg. I know 'cause I was there. Love the Imps. CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

I know, Vic, I was there, too (albeit quite young). The Lotus Cortina was racing from late 1963, though, and I was just seeking numerical neatness.
I'm not sure about you, Barrie, but I suspect an A110 will remain out of reach. I've seen nice-looking examples for £35,000-40,000, which is well beyond my range, but others are available for about twice as much. Bizarrely, I had a Renault GTA V6 turbo as a company car in the late 1980s. It wasn't my choice, just what I was given (by a car magazine, admittedly), but even by the standards of the age, a plastic, 160mph Renault seemed a quirky choice...

Hi. Again. I got my wife an Imp in the early 70's. They used to burn out the clutches which were small but then they increased the diameter of the clutch and the problem was solved. The engines were all alli. and I think designed by Climax of fork lift fame and the Coventry Climax racing car. Fantastic nippy little cars and the racing between them and the minis at places like Croft was something to see.
CHEERS Vic.
