MORPETH NORTHUMBRIAN GATHERING

For anyone at a loose end in the North East, it is the Morpeth Gathering, this weekend. Usually a good opportunity for period costume shots, folk musicians in pubs and re-enactment groups. The best day is usually the Saturday. link

This was just a last minute suggestion of an event that was happening on my door step, I'm sure that if you suggested something nearer to Darfield you would have some takers, the forum now has quite a reasonable Yorkshire contingent and quite a few of us are not too shy about travelling, including greynolds999 who regularly trails from Edinburgh.

Things like the Goths at Whitby are just as close to South Yorkshire as they are to us in the North East. As Graham has pointed out Gareth (greynolds) trails all the way down from Edinburgh for that.
