It seems that Mr Blatter (FIFA) holds that football should be the same everywhere, so that if your village team cannot have TV replay available to the referee, then neither should anyone else......
What difference would a replay have made last night? The referee acted exactly as he should have done. His decisions were correct.
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

They are talking to use cameras to aid them, that might be quite an improvement I think.
How would that have helped last night?

Didn't watch the match last night so can't comment on that one but at least one goal might have be correctly awarded instead of being said ti didn't cross the line while it did.

Also when you watch on your TV you already most of the time see more then the officials does on the field and certainly during slowmo's you an see everything.
At least the fake acting would be harder to do

Just a hint, Stefan, "fake acting" really means the opposite. I mean, in this context acting is the same as fake

Suarez didn't cheat - unlike Henry, he didn't lie to referee and claim he hadn't handled the ball. He did handle the ball, and the referee responded correctly. It isn't Suarez's fault that Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty, nor is it his fault that there is no football equivalent of a penalty try.

Besides, if it wasn't for very questionable refereeing (Serbia having a stonewall penalty for handball refused by the referee, rather than missed, coincidentally fulfilling Blatter's stated wish for an African team to get to the KO stages) Ghana wouldn't have got this far anyway, so justice (belatedly) done.

i think if suarez did that in purpose based on information such statistic, weather condition, zodiac sign (which reminds me of domenech) thats a very good strategy maybe it can change the whole game : . Its like intentional foul in basketball.

the penalty retakes in spain vs paraguay really doesnt matter since spain win the game, it will be more of a controvery if they lose the game, like ghana.

but i dont understand why the ref had the spain to retake the penalty

Unlike a certain German goal keeper Suarez didn't cheat.
It was areal tragedy for Gyan but that's football.

The Spanish Paraguay saga of penalties was far far worse refereeing. The penalty was retaken for infringement. The Paraguay penalty actually had more players infringing, and the second penalty also had players infringing. And in the midst of it all he missed another clear penalty for Spain.

Lets hope the Dutch can wallop Uruguay now.

Has Paul the Octopus made his prediction yet for Germany-Spain?
