1 and 2 don't do much for me, awkward crop in 1 and important bits too soft in 2. On the other hand 3 is a marvellous shot, fantastic expression and great focus. 4 is pretty good too, great action well captured, just a pity he is slightly lost against the background of spectators.

I agree, number three is my favourite too. I found this really difficult, they moved so fast and I got loads of really rubbish shots.
Thanks for the comments, very helpful.

Came back to see your response, and was struck again by what a great photo number 3 is. Seriously! Great 3D effect, fantastic colour, perfect sense of movement. I think any pro photographer would have been delighted to get that.

No one would find this type of photography easy. #3 is an excellent shot and it's worth taking a thousand others just to get it. I found this really difficult, they moved so fast and I got loads of really rubbish shots.

My 2nd favourite #1 - I like the crop not only as it's interesting, it focussing you on the rider and the not the bike. Plus the blurred background give a sense of movement.
All the shots have a bit of an excess of blue here. You can see it thing that look like they should be white.
I must go and shoot a bike trials event. I used to live next door to a motorbike trials and scrambling course in the 1970s. Challenging photography

Thank you for all the constructive comments, I was pleased with number three as well, I think I may invest in a print of it!
