Mood boards

Putting this out to forum members,

I have a shoot booked for later this week, in a studio ith various backdrops including boudior area brick wall and others , but I am struggling for ideas, i feel as I should have ideas for the shoot and should share them with the model.
I have looked online for mood boar, but am hoping forum members could share some of their knowledge. and links to other relevant resources.
I am still a complete novice with lighting , so will ask the owner to set up a 2 light setup.
I will be shooting up to and including nude.
If you have some ideas you can help me with feel free to suggest them.

Is it your photoshoot that you have arranged for yourself. Or a group shoot at a studio. If its a group shoot. The few I have attended I have found that the organisers set up a fairly standard lighting set up. The models seemed to be very professional and did all the posing. To a point where I have to stop the to get my own interpretion on the images that I wanted. You definately need to collate any ideas you have together. So as to make it easier to relate them to the model. I personally print out similar looking images, to my ideas I have found from the internet. Flickr, 500px and the like. As it's far easier to show a picture than to describe the look you want, to the model. Or these days I use a Kindle / Tablet. Talk to the model as your photograghing them. Dont make it a cold affair. The facial expressions and body language of the subject will be a lot more receptive in the finished photograph.

Its my photoshoot 1-2-1 with a model in a professional studio.
Seemed like a good idea at the time and still is , but my limited knowledge is going to restrict the shoot.
I have sent over a couple of ideas to the model , waiting for a response,

If it's your first time, keep it simple and make handling the lighting your main focus. Maybe think of three shots you want to try out in terms of lighting them. If coming up with a creative idea or fine-tuning the model's pose has to wait for the next shoot, so be it.

In terms of tooling, I've found Pinterest useful for drawing up mood boards; only a minority of models seem to be on there though so you may need to make your boards world-readable.
