Yes, the whole point is that it encourages us to do something new.

The golden rule is, read the rules....

The same thing has happened here with the 'Night' competition, so just a reminder that the intention is that you have to go out and take the photograph after the competition is announced. Back catalogue entries are no no's!
To be fair, it wasn't taken at night either!!!

However, to her credit, it was taken on a Pentax camera.

Maybe the part stating that the images must be taken in July should be bolded? Just to make it clearer, since some people seem to struggle with reading the intro, and never visit here to read the rules, or discussions.

Thanks for that info. I hope it's not going to be a "last week of the month" monthly competitione

Still traces of coal when tide is out near the lifeboat station and you can almost walk out to the beakwater too

It seems even bolding the bit about photos must be taken in July isn't working .

Would it help to include something in the competition title to make it clear before they enter the gallery section, e.g.
Monthly Competition #1 - Night Shots (photographed in July 2012 only)

We've just enjoyed a bbq.

I hear Murraymania continues.

Edit: How did my post end up here? How weird - I posted it in the pointless thread. Apologies everyone!

If this rain keeps up for another week, I may make the same disqualifying mistake...
