Which monopod would you recommend? Is it possible to also use them like a walking stick?!!!
Any suggestion what to look for?
Thanks.

I use a Manfrotto 681b and it's great
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Try a camping type shop. Some time ago I remember seeing an advert for a hiking pole with a 1/4 thread on top to use as a monopod. I don't know if they are still made or out there for sale but I do know that they did exist at one time. Maybe someone else can help or remember them?
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

Have a look at these and see if one of those would suit you.
Hama also do the Alpenpod, and Mountain King has a couple.

Morris photo has those on their site, I think Amazon does too. I don't think SRS has any.

I have a Gitzo G1560 - about 10 years old and it is fine. Hand strap, cushioned grip, tungsten tip.

http://www.gitzo.co.uk/monotrek-monopod is the current model.

My Leki pole (from about 8 or 9 years ago) just has a 1/4in screw which fastens directly to the base of the camera.
