Misty Coombe Hill Panoramas.

Knowing there would be a misty morning, we headed out to Coombe Hill to shoot some panoramics. The plan was to get the UK's tallest inland wind turbine poking through the mist but the mist was too high!

Instead we were left with a view that was a lot closer and was constantly changing in light levels and mist. With not much else to shoot we just kept shooting the same scene as it was changing so much, the trouble is, we can't agree on which is the best one!

We've narrowed it down to these, if you had to pick one to put on your wall, which one would it be and why do you prefer it?

Great atmosphere! I like how you've caught the mist at different stages and the contrast increases as you go. Nice soft colours too.

Probably the last one, as the sinuous shape of the land continues to the right more strongly. The mistiness is still there as well, so I think that makes it the strongest of the set.

I'll go for #10. It almost unveils it all but retains an edge of mystery. #11 has given most of it away.
Looks like you didn't get cold for nothing.

That is one tough question.
Whilst I love the sky colour in No.6 I would on balance agree with John and plump for No.13 and add the extra contrast appeals to me. My top plan:- don't be in a hurry, tuck them away in a folder, leave for 4 months open with fresh eyes and greater detachment, your fav. is more likely to show itself.

Thanks for the comments, I think I've really made it difficult for myself to pick one to print large!

The pastel colours in the first really appeal to me, also the mist rolling over the hill on the left in the first 2 and the sunlight showing on the right in the last 2. The lack of the rolling mist on the left of the last one is a shame!

It's a good job I haven't shown the other 12 as well!

The last one. As nice as the mist is, having just that bit more to look at and explore makes for a more interesting picture. K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
