Yes I've tried one. I had one of these and a Cobra D700 flash. Voltage is about -7 or 8 volts.

Out of the two I preferred the Cobra, but both flashes worked. On mine there was a bit of a warm colour cast compared to the Cobra. No proper auto of course, but easy to check exposure on digital, and tweak your aperture.

I would say this flash is ok for occasional 'bounce flash' shots indoors, if you. Far better than using the on camera flash, but not really comparable with the more advanced PTTL and wireless flashes you can get. But if funds are limited and you aren't an advanced user 'it does the job'.
