Very good quality shots. The second though, I think is let down by composition - the chopped-off legs and tilt. Maybe straightening and cropping tighter on the face would help? Also, the white balance seems completely different in both - has one been PP'd?

thanks Tony and pentaxbabe, white balance, yes had a play with it. as for the head tilt, well we were both rolling about on the floor

Love the last one especially. DOF and focus are both excellent. I find cats harder to film than children! But she should give you lots of opportunities.
