After reading the good stuff I got from asking about my in built flash on the K100D Super I am thinking of buying a Metz 48 AF-1. It's about on my budget limit. In the past Metz were good, but what is the current thinking on them? Does anyone have one of these and how is it?

It says the Pentax P-TTL version will be available in 2008. Have you actually seen a Pentax version advertised?

It would be worthwhile checking that they are selling the P-TTL version, not a TTL version which may be available at the moment, but which may be being replaced with a P-TTL version next year. I don't know if that's the case, but it might be.

As I understand it the numbers refer to the guide number (power) of the gun. Therefore the 48 has a guide number of 48 (metres) and so on.

Well I have got the Metz 48 and it is a P-TTL unit, they have probably launched it in time for the Christmas market.

Well apparently it is for sale at the moment. As this forum discussion will attest too.
No sign of it in Australia though. Every retailer i tried said they did'nt have a listing for it .

First chance to really try this out was a trip to the Cold War Museum at RAF Cosford.
A slight gamma adjustment. Not really got to grips with software processing yet, but hear goes

...wow.

So what's the point in buying an AF360/540FGZ then?
