As the flash & lenses are all manual, you will need to put the camera into M mode & set the shutter speed to 1/160 (if camera set to 1/3 stops) or 1/180 (if set to 1/2 stops). Thatīs the sync speed for Pentax flashes. Below that speed Iīm not sure what the results will be like, it may work, but above that speed the flash simply wonīt fire.

The effect of a slower speed will be that more of the available light will be included in the image.

Apparently 36AF4 does not work with non A manual lenses. It does not fire when using a non A manual lens, whatever the shutter speed.
