I am sure that the cable release goes with the Pentax Auto Bellows A set. I have the identical item with my bellows set. Your first item is one I have not seen before, it's obvious what it does but not where it does it! I have the Bellows Set manual in front of me and there is no mention of this little release button nor does it appear in any of the photographs...but.... I am quite sure somebody here will know

Thank you! These two items came as parts of a collection of several Pentax mechanical shutter release cables/devices. These two have "no relation" to each other.

The first one might be a soft shutter release, intended to make the moment of shutter release shake free.
The second one is a double cable release intended for bellows and a special bellows macro lens.

Thank you for providing interesting information. Do you know what cameras the "soft shutter release" can be used with? Can it be used with any Pentax M42 and K-Mount SLR?

Soft shutter releases can be used with any camera that has a mechanical slot in the shutter release that is for a cable release.

Ha ha… I was holding a Pentax SLR in one hand and the soft shutter release in the other hand, without understanding how it should be used… I thought the soft shutter release somehow should be attached to one of the shutter release cables that were part of my purchase.
Thank you John Riley!

And could possibly be used for a dual-camera stereo set-up?
SteveH!
Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

That's the most un-ergonomic soft release I have ever seen.
