The DA*50-135mm and HD-DA 1.4x converter is a rather good combination.

I would love to comment and say what I really think, but it would be removed.

The photo itself is technically perfect though

Football does that to people. I could mention certain teams as well and it would be removed too.

Thanks for the comment though mate

I'm not interested in football but great picture.

Sometimes I'm serious and sometimes not, but I consider sarcasm an artform. Which is it today?

Great picture of a major sports news event but I would prefer to see this in Black and White.

Last weekend's football highlight (for me, at least) took place several miles from Vincent Kompany's right elbow - Altrincham winning the Conference North play-off final at Moss Lane. I have a soft spot for City, though, and this is a fine shot that highlights the 1.4 TC's qualities (and will doubtless cause me to spend more cash I don't yet possess).

The colours look spot on to me. But then I am an exiled Mancunian.

Great picture of Sir Vincent, it was a great night.

Hope you don't mind me posting them on this thread but I got a few shots with the MX-1 at the parade. Not great shots as I had to grab them while trying not to lose my sky blue clad son in a sea of sky blue, but I was impressed by a couple of aspects of the MX-1.

First was the DOF and ability to blur a background with a small sensor:

Second was the leverage of the RAW file, in the original exposure the sky and distant appartments were pretty blown out, but the highlights were recoverable in lightroom:

Despite the team, parade, premiership trophy, and the MX-1, my son was most impressed by the ice cream mans blue sauce
