Simon Arron and myself braved the snow and biting wind and and spent a fantastic day at Mallory Park shooting bikes and sidecars. I'm more used to the four wheeled variety of motorsport but really enjoyed the challenge of capturing action. Here are few of the images I've been through so far. All K20D and DA*200, and the wider shots are with the 18-55WR, and the last is with the DA10-17. Mallory must be about the only venue where you can shoot track action with a kit lens!

A very nice set indeed, Simon. But where was the snow you mentioned. To us from more northern parts. These look practically tropical...

Nice work, Simon - and I'm glad you enjoyed it... despite the relatively poor light and racing being curtailed prematurely when ice began to form on the back straight.

Have barely started to edit mine, thanks to crap M1 traffic and a slowish journey home.

Well done, at least they had clear visors so you can see the faces.
C&C welcome.

Great stuff Simon, you definitely had the knack of capturing the various incidents that occurred! I think I missed then all. Like the 'moment' No. 192 had on the Armco above - I never even noticed it happen and was stood right near it One thing I found strange with bike racing, as opposed to cars, was that there is no indication that someone is about to come off; everything looks and sounds normal...then suddenly they're on the deck!

All in all a great day and blizzards or not, you can definitely count me in for the next one
