I was volunteered to marshal at this event today so I naturally took the K-x along. Here are some pics from today, any comments etc welcome. More to come later.

Good action pictures, cyclo cross, like rugby, is ideal for getting pictures of mud spattered sportsmen but I hope you kept your Pentax out of the mire. They still do cyclo cross on road bikes then? I thought they would use mountain bikes.

An interesting action set! I didn't know anything about this kind of racing.

Thanks Roy, Don, David and Tim. They ride on knobbly and chunkier versions of road tires of about 1 inch section Don. Some of the competitors use mountain bike frames David but most use the traditional cyclo cross bike, though now they are super light being made of carbon fibre.

They ride for 1 hour plus 1 lap, so the rider who does the most laps of the course wins. Bit of a nightmare for the lap counters to keep track and there is always controversy over final placings.
