M42 plus converter

Morning folks,I've just purchased a cheapish 200mm f3.5 prime ,it has a M42mount .I was wondering ,will this set up work using a converter plus the M42 adapter on my K100D,also can anyone on here recommend a converter that would match the setup i have (ie..x1.4,x2....?) ..Ta for looking..

This thread belongs in lenses.

You will not find many M42 teleconverters, so why not use a K-mount T/C on the camera and fit the adapter on the outer end of the T/C?

The downside to this approach is it's quite fiddly if you want to quickly take the TC out and mount the lens directly on the camera.

There are plenty of cheap M42 TCs out there, just do a quick search on ebay for "M42 2x". Come to think of it, I have one or two spare somewhere I could let you have for a very reasonable price .

You can get better quality K-mount TCs (which you could also use on your more modern lenses of course), but they'll cost you more.

Cheers for that steve mucho appreciated ,i did really explain myself very clearly ,i'm planning using a M42 adapter and Tc ,i'm not after a M42 tc .But thanks for ur input
