I've read reports of the chinese ones Yongnuo being a great value, but make sure you buy from a reputable source just in case... "made in china" is synonymous "quality control" issues....
me, I'd go with the pentax or metz...
but those guys over a strobist seem content with yongnuo...

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I thought I had decided on a Metz 50 AF-1 but then I came across the Yongnuo YN-560.
I will be mainly using for bounced flash / portraits on and off camera with a K-5.
Will the Yongnuo do what I want or would I be better with the Metz?
Are there any Yongnuo users on here? I guess it's mainly manual settings with this one.
All opinions/suggestions welcome
Thanks
I have both even though I don't use flash photography that often. I use the Yongnuo as a slave with radio triggers. You are going to lose P-TTL with the Yongnuo but save a ton of cash I thought I had decided on a Metz 50 AF-1 but then I came across the Yongnuo YN-560.

Both are great flashes for what they offer - it all boils down to whether you need the auto functions of the Metz. The Yongnuo is fractionally larger and both have built-in diffusers and bounce. However if you are in a studio setting and (I assume) using manual flash then 2 or 3 Yongnuo units and a set of radio triggers would be an excellent set-up.
