A couple of images that I took last weekend whilst on a walk along the Thames (before the snow ) using the K-7 and 16-50mm on a tripod. This was my first attempt at low light photography as well.

Both images as shot out of the camera.

Definitely the first one for me. Tower bridge always is photogenic.
In the second one the blue is a bit too dominant for my taste. Could work with a bit of a lighter sky, though.

Personal preference would be for more colour in the sky, so shooting earlier in the evening (not so long after sunset). Exposure for the buildings looks good though, and the Tower Bridge shot is nice.

Thanks for all your comments and advice which will be put to use on the next occasion! Out of all the images that I came back with Tower Bridge is my favourite.

I thought I would have a go at something different whilst waiting for the airshow season to start again in May
