Location Ideas for Easter Weekend?

Does anybody have a favourite location they would like to share? We have a long weekend looming and I'm sure some of us will be wondering where to head for.

I'll suggest Arley Hall in Cheshire and Biddulph Grange Gardens near Congleton, also in Cheshire. Near to Biddulph is also Kypersley Reservoir, which is surrounded by an interesting bit of woodland with plenty of walks.
Best regards, John

For soft Southerners, Nigel's new website shows lots of possibilities.

I had an Easter break a few years ago in a farm-let on the Shropshire-Wales border, not far from Ludlow with its picturesque castle and old town centre. There's the Stretton Hills range with great views and the drama of the rocky gorge dropping to Church Stretton. Into Wales you've got the Elan valleys and dams with good walks and photo opps. Beautiful countryside in every direction.

One of our brilliant open air museums offers a host of photographic opportunities e.g.: Blists Hill, Black Country, Beamish.

Or one our photogenic preserved railways.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Depending on the weather - I may head up to Duntanburgh or Beadnell in Northumberland - stunning area.

I will be exploring the deep south around Battle whilst playing in the new campervan and then over to the New Forest.
Any suggestions for interesting places to visit/photograph?

In the north-west, the Britannia Coconut Dancers dance in and around Bacup on Easter Saturday. A unique dance tradition. The details for the day are on their website - http://www.coconutters.co.uk

I am considering going, although it's a three hour drive for me, so i'd want to be convinced that the weather is going to be in my favour.

Dave, off the top of my head how about...

Rye, East Sussex. Very olde worldy. A friend of mine comes from there and their shop was converted to a pub for filming Black Beard. I think it's Mermaid street the famous street. Great little town.

The Jack and Jill windmills on the South Downs near Ditchling beacon and Brighton. You can go in one of them and watch it all working. Great views north over the Weald.

Bodium castle is great. Went there on a school trip long time ago. Proper castle with moat.

Bluebell railway is down that way too. Great day out.
