Little and Large

Taken at Dunham Massey yesterday.

Green veined butterfly (I think, please correct if I'm wrong)

All with the 55-300mm and very little PPing (should there be more?).

I'm happy to comment but I'm no wildlife expert! I'd say all three could be sharper. Do you sharpen after resizing them? The first two look as though they god focus although the last one does not.

I would crop the last one differently as the space at the bottom and right doesn't really contribute much. They are also all very green, I wonder if you could tone that down a bit. I do realise they're green because the surroundings are but it might be possible to lower it a bit.

I sharpened before before putting them into Photobucket and linking from there, hence before resizing, is that correct? I will attempt to reduce the "greenness" to see what happens. And change the crop to the last one.

I think photobucket will resize so I usually resize, sharpen and load to Flickr a size that can be viewed there sensibly and linked to from here so that no resizing is needed.

So I'll take the fullsize image, resize to 900 wide say, sharpen, load to flickr, link to full size image in flickr so no extra resizing has been applied.

Also you should convert to sRGB at some stage.

Then again I'm a control freak so I don't trust any third party system to do anything!
