Lincolnshire

We've just spent a week's holiday in Lincolnshire, one of those gaps that we haven't done before. It was timely as the purchaser of the 500mm lens I had on offer lives in Lincolnshire. So that was duly delivered in person.

What's first off the holiday photo treadmill?

This was found at Belton House in the orangery and I love the moment when a subject catches the imagination and excites my interest. It's a simple shot, but I really like the colours and shapes. Feel free to express your like, dislike or indifference!
Best regards, John

A week in Lincolnshire John ... sounds rather isolated, I guess it was hard to get any signal in places 😉

No indifference here, yes a simple shot but I can appreciate how the various points of interest in the flower and surrounding ferns and pot all occupy a specific space in the frame, making for a most relaxed natural compo.

Now really people, this is not supposed to be about internet connectivity issues in isolated areas - its about the OPs photograph at Belton House .... so back on topic please.

One useful trick I tried for the first time was multi uploading a set of EPZ images before I went. Then I could just activate one a day and that would be possible even from the iPhone without too much trouble.

Licolnshire isn't remote at all and in fact it was moving a heck of a lot faster than the Wigan area was when I returned to it. Thoroughly recommended and there are lots of great places to see.

I'm always on the lookout for details rather more than overall scenes, and here's a second example:

Hard to argue with that lens for convenience and it produces great pictures.

Sometimes I'm serious and sometimes not, but I consider sarcasm an artform. Which is it today?

I like the first flower image, especially the rough background textures.
