Its a wonderful piece of software. I'm still finding new cool things to do with it. Really depends what floats your boat, it can do so much.
Tips -
1. When you import a shoot you can save a second copy to another location. Creates backup as part of the import.
2. Create your own presets (you can vary them for each ISO setting if you like) to be applied on import.
3. Batch tagging very useful.
4. The export functions can not only re-size down as you would expect (all sorts of options here) but also do a very good job of re-sizing up when someone asks for a big print!
5. Sync settings is very useful when you have batch of stuff that needs the same develop settings.

Laura Shoe's videos are by far the best, IMHO. I bought all of the recommended books, and some of the other DVDs before I found her series. She is in a class of her own. Particularly if you are new to Lightroom, she will get you up and running in the most helpful way. I struggled for a long time with LR2 - it is not that intuitive and its full of poorly-documented but useful features -and I wasted an awful amount of time watching YouTube videos when I should have been out taking shots. Spend a few pounds to download her DVDs, load LR3 at the same time as you watch them so you can do for yourself what she is doing on-screen, and you will be amazed at what a difference you can make to your images.

119.97 GBP surely?
I'm still in the waitlist. Can't see me getting one.
Last year you could open a fresh window and try again, but this year that doesn't seem to work .
Hopefully it will come again sometime.
