Lightroom 4 is just around the corner so I would expect Lightroom 3 to come down in price shortly.

Student version is reasonablly priced..Provided you have acces to a student of course..

No not one!
Still I have found a copy at park cameras for £170 which is much less than most other places..Still a lot more expensive than student/teacher price. I am not sure why I should be penalised but I am..

What makes you think that? When I looked recently they hadn't released a beta for v4 yet and last time it took nearly 6 months from the first beta to full release?Lightroom 4 is just around the corner so I would expect Lightroom 3 to come down in price shortly.
