Lightroom - Full or Upgrade?

Hi all, I have just upgraded from LR2 to LR5. Purchased the upgrade from Amazon (£54.50) loaded perfectly, on completion LR5 imported my previous library from LR2 without any problems at all. Happy bunny, LR5 seems light years better than LR2.

You are correct, the Julieanne Kost videos on Adobe TV are excellent tutorials for Lightroom.

Just to add my agreement that if you are on version 3 or earlier the upgrade is beyond doubt worth it. The speed, extra tools, better noise control, brilliant de-fringing, latest camera raw etc etc make it a no-brainer. And I've never had any problem migrating libraries either.

I use an add on called Paddy with Lightroom 4

Amongst a lod of other things it adds ey command mapping for both adjustment brush presets and develop presets and also adjustment brush modes.

I use Paddy with this keyboard I bought from eBay and then reprogrammed for lightroom. The blank keys I was going to set to presets but haven't got around to it yet...

Im going to stick with my Lightroom 3
Lightroom isn't expensive at all these days and LR4/5 is well worth it for the increased IQ over LR3.
LR4/5 also includes the old LR3 PV2010 algorithms so when you load a catalogue with images processed in PV2010 they retain the LR3 settings for compatibility so theirs no forced conversion
