Light is everything

Well the sun certainly bleaches the mountains, but it brings the barn to life I feel. In hindsight I think the first shot should have had the wider view and the second the narrower one concentrating more on the barn.

Yes they certainly do!
The two pictures are really of two different things, one of mountains with a forground frame of a barn, the other a barn in the landscape with just the lighting causing the change.

I think they're both fabulous in their own right. Light is everything.

The first sets mountains on fire, with the cool shadow covering everything else. As it should.
The second sets a barn and grass aglow, as you feel the sun warm the day. As it should.

So I can't say which I prefer, they're just...
Wonderful shots.

The lighting is amazing. Such detail!! For me it says something about a picture if the viewer can spend so much time looking at it and absorbing all the detail. It would be good to know what they were taken with (camera obviously). I pray for the day I can take shots this good.
