Has anyone had dealings with this company? Based in Cheshire they seem to have some amazing deals on lenses.

Looks too good to be true Rob. I've just popped a 31mm Ltd in a basket at £559 (best price on camerapricebuster at the mo is over £1k). It's then given me a 20% discount and brought the price down to £447.20. I didn't ask for a discount. Two phrases spring too mind: Caveat Emptor & Never Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth.

I'm torn and haven't checked out all the way yet. No option to pay by paypal either. .. Can anyone out there vouch for this lot?

Bit more digging. Check out the top two faces here:

http://www.ministry-of-smile.com/en/testimonials.html
&
All four here - https://www.legumesfrais.com/index.php?route=information/information&information...

And then the faces on Levaretech's own about us page - http://levaretech.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=4.

The alarm bells went into overdrive - people that sell camera's aren't that good looking. I've closed the page down without giving any details.

Thanks kingalew, funny how the same faces have different names! And the same appearance on different websites! Looks like your research has just saved us from being scammed.

It gets "curiouser and curiouser"

See enclosed images of 200 DA* ; the one from the Levaretech web site shows two different prices and model names for the 200 mm lens, one of which matches the official image and name as shown on image from the official Pentax site. ( Pentax SMC DA* ED IF SDM Telephoto lens - 200mm - f2.

The Pentax SMC P DA* lens - 200 mm shown on the left above is not listed anywhere on a Pentax Official Web site.

Thanks for the heads up. I wondered why they would deal from a normal house and not have an open and closed sign on the front door. I was thinking about placing an order with them for bulk 120 film and a large format developing tray.

Best regards

I know someone who runs a successful eBay business dealing with model cars and railways from his modest home address - he has a huge garage in his garden which is chock full and is genuine. In this case it is useful to read reviews, a few five star (could be planted) but too many bad reviews complaining about poor delivery and goods. But K20 is right in that it is best to deal with a business you can visit if parting with large sums or ordering something which may need attention later on.

I love Google Image search: images.google.com
Just paste in a URL of an image... and up pop all the places the image has been used/misused:

Don't tell Chris and the staff at SRS that - we might never get any special deals off them again!
