Just got my AP through the door (about 5 mins ago) and have just Read a letter from Will Brealey regarding Pentax.
Will, I salute you, a well though out letter.

Hey, thanks! I typed it in fury on my mobile phone on the way to work- didn't expect it to be published! Was there any response from Damien?

No response from Damien I'm afraid. It probably left him stumped.

I had my say on the AP forum and Damien did respond to that very briefly, but did not comment further. The letter in AP no doubt shows that they wanted to show they had allowed another view and that they weren't biased as accused.

The letter was very well thought out and debunked the original very convincingly. Well done for that, very well done.
Best regards, John

If Damien kept his mouth shut, then it shows he has been had.

I lost any regard for AP some time ago. The two big wallies are the 'supposed' technical pair of Angela Nicholson and the young lad Barney Britton..they both have biased views, (especially Angela N) and they both have rather limited tech knowledge...how do these people get into national mag's beggers belief.

Will do you still have the text of your letter or do I have to go out and purchase a copy of AP?

Don't be so tight ... I know you are saving for a new lens but a couple of quid wont make much difference.

So anyway .. what did the original letter say? (the dog chewed up my copy)

you have accidents with nice equipment - and now we learn you have a dog that has a paper/magazine munching habit .

What other secrets are there which are still to emerge ?

Naaa, that was just an excuse because I'm also too tight to buy a copy of the magazine.

I'd be interested in the text of the letter too - since I can't buy a copy of AP for the dog to chew.

Well my good wife tried to get a copy in the local Waitrose a little earlier but they were out of stock

I've seen John and Iain's posts in the AP forum (interesting) but I'd still like to have read of Will's now famous letter
