Lens won't open

I have a Pentax Optio L60 which out of the blue won't open. The battery is fully charged. When I press the On button I can hear a mechanical buzz which suggestd the machinery is trying to work, and also hear the cheerful digital beep that says hello. Once the screen came alive also.
