Broken M42 adapter

Hopefully the spring didn't break while it was on the camera? I've had the spring unscrew and had to remove the mount to free it up - nasty job. This is why some people remove the springs if they have lenses that are stiff enough to stay in place. It's a flimsy piece so I'd seriously suggest you get a new(ish) genuine Pentax adapter.

Might be worth buying a cheapo £5 ebay adapter and seeing if the spring from that fits.
