Is there a place on the Pentax Website to register lenses as there is thru other Manufacturers? I can't seem to see anything on Pentax UK which probably means I'm being a bit dense and looking in the wrong place:

If you are outside the countries listed in the drop down box there is nothing to be gained from registering your purchase. You won't get the attractive individual special offer, nor the news letter or priority on firmware updates.

They list Belgium and Luxembourg but not the Netherlands - which is odd since we have the same importer.

...and no "Amazon" listed or any possibility of adding shops/sources not listed in this highly sophisticated registration method.

Hello Pentax! My keyboard has all the letters required for doing so - even some additional ones!

Assuming all the pentax services are at least a bit connected, there could be a serial numbers database, and if the lens/body is reported stolen, they could react when/if would appear for some service/works (by the serial number)? I guess I am aiming high, but it would be possible...

At least some other companies offer this service regarding stolen products. But no idea how this really works out...

No Amazon too, but I am surprised on the number of retailers given how few Pentax kit you see around
