What lens filter would you recommend for Tamron SP90 Macro.

Imho, none! You don't need filters for macro photography.
Well, a circular polariser, perhaps, for special objects.
Any extra glass in front of the lens will degrade IQ.
In harsh environment, you may consider a UV filter for protection.

I was'nt too sure about a poloriser especially as you say it would degrade the IQ. I should get something for protection and a UV would do the trick.

...but a polariser could be useful to control reflections from shiny surfaces...

Macro lenses are built for ultimate sharpness .. personally I would never use something that is going to affect that.

I wouldn't bother using one to protect the lens - the front element on the Tamron 90 is deeply recessed and therefore already well protected, especially when the hood is in place.

Can some one post a with and without filter macro shot? I'd love to see the difference.

I'm not sure you'd see any quality difference at screen resolution, but you might pick up any changes to saturation and the reflections from the petals and leaves.
Best regards, John
