LENS CAPS NEEDED

To repeat my question:
The rear lens caps from Greenlife don't have a flange or rim. Do they still cover the whole lens mount then, including the electrical contacts?

This Greenlife's:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280353641982

It looks like a bog standard "PK" one that is not as good as a proper Pentax one, and is only £2 cheaper!! (if you don't want a body cap).
Take my advice, folks, and get the genuine thing from SRS @ £5.99. I'm a fan of cheap alternative accessories generally, but there are exceptions where it's not worth it.
By the way, there are cheaper sellers than Greenlife selling exactly the same front caps.

iceblinker, I gave the link so you could go to their (Greenlife) website, once there, type in the search box what you are after OK. I have used them many times, front lens caps, rear lens caps, body caps and much more, they are quality and accurately fit Pentax Lenses, once ordered, takes about eight days to come OK.That's a FRONT cap!!!!!!!
Let me know how you get on. Now go to their website proper.

I have been on their website proper and can't find a better rear cap there than this one:

Will you answer my question about the lack of flange please?

No Pete, there is no flange on them, tried one on a lens with contacts and the lens cap covers half of the contacts.

Thank you. That is why I don't like this sort of cap. It's OK for covering the glass, but it's a shame not to cover the whole mount as well.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

womble, you have there an early style Pentax back cap. Later ones have an extra flange that protects the electrical contacts.
Best regards, John
