left or right eye?

Hello all. Just wondering,which eye do you use to take pictures with,left or right? Im left,but a mate of mine is right and we got to wondering which is the most common,left or right

I use my right eye, although I am in fact "left-eyed". I try to keep both eyes open, which is handy if you are shooting moving targets, you can see what else is around. Some people find this difficult, but I learnt to do it at University, sketching thin sections under a microscope.

right but I also keep both eyes open, left over from long range rifle shooting where you need to be able to see the wind flags and the telescopic sight at the same time.

I used to have both eyes open when target shooting(guns) but i find it distracting when shooting with the camera.

Right eye, but again for moving subjects I keep both eyes open. I went through a spell of taking pictures of Red Kites in flight, and with a long lens, it's nigh on impossible to find them quickly.

Reading the question I did not know which eye I used. So I got the camera out and found that I use my left eye.

I also found that I close my right but having read the comments here I tried keeping it open. However most of what I see out of that eye is a blurred image of my thumb on the back wheel
