landscapes and the pentax 16/45

Hello !.........I recieved my 16/45 the other day and I'm off to the Lakes in the morning to try it out!.....Has anyone any advice on settings etc that it works best at, I'm a complete novice as far as landscapes go so I really do know nothing apart from I'll be working with small apertures for a greater Dof!................has this lens got a sweet spot!.........thank you in anticipation of some help!..................Ken

Shoot in aperture priority and use between F8 or F16 if possible - that might mean using a tripod (preferable to raising the ISO). Here'a a couple of examples taken using my 16-45

I use the 16-45mm for most of my photography, including landscapes.

Usually ISO 200 and f8 in daylight.

Thankyou niblue and John, from what I've read I was under the impression that I would be shooting at f16/22 to get the greatest dof,just goes to show you should never believe everything you read!,,,,,,,thanks again for the information,I'll give it a go it daybreak !............Ken
