Last weekend I took a trip to the Lake District, I have never been before and it really was beautiful especially this time of year with all the autumn colours. It did spend a lot of time raining mind you. Anyway, here are a couple of pics from the weekend that I've had time to process. Taken using my K5ii and Tammy 17-50 2.8.

Hi Paul, thanks for posting these, I'm off up to the Lakes this weekend and expecting to get really wet!

I like the first two, with #1 being my favourite with the glorious Autumn colour. The second one could probably do with a little more contrast but it's a beautiful view and I would bet it also looks great in colour! I'm not so keen on the third one, it needs a bit more 'room to breathe' and doesn't really draw me in.

The first one is awesome.. do you think its sharper than the kit 18 55?

I've have been nothing but pleased with the 17-50, I don't have the kit lens anymore. It's good at f2.8 which the kit can't do and great at f4, which again the kit can't do at 50mm.

A couple more images for ya,

Love the colours in that first shot, should be printed and hung somewhere.
C&C welcome.

1 and 3 are a bit too garish for my taste, particularly the magenta tones in 1. 6 has too much foliage at the top - if it were mine I would crop the bottom to 4:3 ratio, and lighten the shadow areas a bit. I'm not keen on 7 - image or format.

I do like 2, 4 and 5, and they look even better when the lighting settings tweaked a bit - they seem a bit bright for the conditions; also 4 looks better to me after a slight clockwise rotation.

Think I will have to see how bad the rain is in the morning and perhaps take a drive over there - these are reminding me how much I lie th area

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more
