Reeds in the mist is the stand out one for me. Composition, colour, and exposure is just right. Lovely image

A good selection, they have a unifying tone and emphasis....I don't see them as 'abstract', rather as original takes on the scenes, mini-views and unique perspectives. The first three are great, as is the misty 'compressed perspective' one.
They all take advantage of the generally dull conditions, when a lot of people would come away with nothing much. It's only the last one that I believe is lacking some essential light.

Reeds in the mist is also the top choice for me. The glassy surface of the foreground water and the recession to the distant band of light is delicious. But they are all fine. As Nigel says its good to see you coming away with some delightful results from the prevailing dull conditions. I also agree with Nigel when he says they are not strictly abstract, for me they are more micro landscape in style.

Good selection, I agree with a previous poster, less abstracts more vignettes. I like the colours and composition of no 2 particularly

Fantastic. Not sure I'd classify them as abstract but then, what do I know 1,2,3 and 4 would be my picks. Love Reeds in the Mist. The whole set is beautifully subtle.

I think we have settled it for sure by now .... David is not allowed to call them 'abstracts' any more

Terrific set David - really floats my boat . Very productive trip!!!
As they've said, Reeds in the Mist is just terrific, but compressed perspective and surging force also capture my eye!
But just great to see this whole set.

Hi All
Sorry about the 'abstracts' description, but believe me for me these are abstract compared my normal output! I shall not disappoint as I will be posting a set later which are traditional landscape
Cheers
