I suppose you should only try this on a waterproof K20D.

The Kr has a dust alert, where you take a picture of a white surface under the dust alert config, and the picture shows where the dust is. First I hit the spot where the "bunny" was with a rocket blower. Checked the dust alert and saw dust specks I didnt even know I had. Did the sensor shake a few times with another hit with the rocket blower a few morse sensor shakes and now all is clear.

In truth you can never eliminate dust entirely. Even if you never change a lens it will still get in there! It's really only a problem when it becomes noticeable.
But glad it's sorted for now and you avoided the vacuum cleaner!

Where does all that dust go. Does it just build up until the camera is useless. Is this a problem with Digital SLR cameras. How do you get the dust out eventually. I bought one of those small USB vacuum cleaners, it doesnt have much suction, but I am still hesitant to place it inside the workings.

I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. A while back I bought a second hand K-m from ebay and although it was in good external nick, on arrival the sensor was covered in dust and debris, as was the focussing screen. I've carefully cleaned it with a Rocket Blower and a wet sensor clean and I've also removed / cleaned the focussing screen (dry clean only, with the blower). Since then (6 months ago) everything is clean and clear with no further problems.Where does all that dust go. Does it just build up until the camera is useless.
You must be careful to change lenses not too often and when you do ensure the camera is pointing downwards. Every now and again check it, clean it only when necessary and all will be well.

I had to rush out and buy the only wet clean kit in town at scandalous cost and use all of it scrubbing the critter off...
That was the K100D. No dust on the K-5 after 4 mths touch wood.
