Kr ISO Settings

I have been merrily snapping away for almost a year now and have just been reading a review of the Kr where it makes some suggestions to alter the recommended settings.
In there it talks about extending the ISO sensitivity, which I did some time ago, but on mine it runs from 200-25600 not 100-25600 as in the review.
Any thoughts?

On the K-5 there is a dynamic range setting in one of the menus, if you enable it then your ISO starts at 200. If disabled you get 100.

Hi,

I find the start at 200 ISO is worth having for the gain in dynamic range.

The KR is excellent up to 1600 ISO so I tend to have the auto scale set to 200 - 800 with the fixed one ready to go at 1600 if I need to switch to it for an extra stop. I mostly hand hold so have the anti shake on as default.

I generally use AV aperture priority auto mode and have learnt to have TV, manual etc preset to something sensible too. The KR has no lock on the dial so it can slip setting coming out of bag or case in a hurry as I found out last week in Madeira. Must finish editing from that trip, down to 500 from 700 taken so far. If i get half a dozen really good shots for my collection I'll be happy BUT my wife does think that little mad!!!

If you've got highlight correction on, you won't be able to access the expanded ISO100 setting.
